Two Shawls

Well, at last Winter has arrived ... this is the view from my kitchen this afternoon. I can normally see the two tower blocks in the distance clearly, but they've almost disappeared in the snow!

Being stuck in doors has given me plenty of time for knitting, a good job considering all the challenges i've set myself this month.

This is my Winter Bloom shawl so far ...

This is my Lunar KAL project, I've just finished the garter stitch section and i'm ready to start knitting the lace section.

I'm so pleased with the Knitting Goddess yarn i've used, it looks so much like the bark on a silver birch tree.

I'm also knitting a very different shawl with the laceweight I received as part of my Yummy Yarns swap at Christmas. Citron is a semi-circular shawl with seersucker-like stripes.

At the moment my knitting looks a bit like a lettuce leaf, but I know it will look great once it's blocked.
