This year I am going to set myself a different creative task for each week of the year.
That's 52 new creative challenges in 2011, some will be sketchbook tasks, some will mean that I need to learn new techniques, and some ... I don't even know what they'll be yet!
The inspiration came from reading the book "52 Projects: Random Acts of Creativity" by Jeffrey Yamaguchi, and so a few of my challenges will be taken directly from his book. I've also been inspired by the work of Keri Smith who has written several amazing creativity books.
I'm also involved with The Sketchbook Challenge, which also starts today - a different theme for every month of 2011, so one challenge per month will link with this one, otherwise i'll be run off my feet!

Week 1 - Sketchbook Challenge
The sketchbook challenge starts today too, so that will be my first challenge. The theme for this month is Highly Prized, so i'm off to do some mind-mapping and research on that theme ...
... and i'll be posting my progress during the week, and then i'll post a new challenge every Saturday for the next year.
