More hats ...

I'm knitting my little hats for The Big Knit at the moment. These are the little hats that you see on the little Innocent Smothie bottles throughout November. The sale of these smoothies raises money for Age UK. My hats are yellow and blue stripey ones knitted using Snowflake yarn so they're quite soft and fluffy. I'll take some pictures over the weekend.
Smoothie hats don't take long to knit, so perhaps I should be thinking about knitting some 'people-sized' hats for the Autumn! I've looked in the Ravelry pattern section and found these designs which are free to download.

Teddy Hat by Bastian Goudas - why should the little ones have all the cute hats? This straightforward pattern made in chunky yarn will grow quickly.

Flapper Hat by Rheatheylia  - a classy design in  crochet for when you don't want keeping warm to get in the way of style.

One Hour Hat by Allison Blevins - this is what I like, instant results, not a speedy as a smoothie hat, but nearly! You'll need super chunky yarn (I'd use Rowan) and 19mm needles.

It's worth checking out the Ravelry site for lots of other freebie patterns too.
